💖 Nervous to share this… but it’s time

Hey Reader!

It's been a while! I've been heads down working on a full rebrand for my podcast and for this newsletter, and honestly, I've been kinda scared to share it with you.

When I started this newsletter it was all about challenging the rules of work, especially in hiring. It started with no official name, then borrowed the name of my podcast, Throw Out The Playbook, but every week, it was about becoming a more strategic recruiter.

But along the way, the focus shifted.

It turned out the most interesting stories weren’t just about what rules people were breaking, they were about what they were building in their place.

That’s what led to Workfluencer: a reimagined newsletter and podcast for professionals who use content to shape how we talk about work, attract talent, and create opportunity.

Why I Rebranded...

Over time, I noticed something shifting, in the questions, DMs and emails I kept getting from you.

People weren’t just curious about bold hiring takes. They wanted to know:

✅ How do I build trust online?

✅ How do I attract opportunities through content?

✅ How do I balance influence with a full-time job?

✅ How do I make my brand visible without making it all about me?

I realized: more people were using content inside their companies and across their industries to build leverage and make change.

Who Workfluencer Is For

This newsletter is for:

  • The recruiter turning hiring pain points into LinkedIn posts
  • The employer brand manager launching video campaigns from behind the scenes
  • The founder using storytelling to drive client growth
  • The employee considering going full-time as a content creator
  • The content enabler championing internal creators, budget, and approvals

These are the professionals shaping the future of work — one post, one story, one video at a time.

What’s Coming Next

The Workfluencer newsletter is your behind-the-scenes pass to:

Tactical content strategies from professionals using content to grow their careers, build credibility, and attract the right opportunities

Honest conversations about visibility, burnout, boundaries—and what it really takes to build a personal brand that works for you

Real examples and frameworks to help you turn your expertise into content that actually connects (without the cringe)

Insights from inside the industry—the stuff you won’t hear on stage or see on your LinkedIn feed

Behind-the-scenes breakdowns of content that actually works for recruiters, creators, and brand builders in the world of work

I’d love to have you along for what’s next. But if this new direction isn’t your vibe, no pressure, you can always unsubscribe below. No hard feelings, truly.

I’d love to know what you think, just hit reply.
Whether you’re here for the tactics, the tea, or the behind-the-scenes, I’m so glad you are. 💖

P.S. Did you peep the new subject line emoji? 💖. I polled my LinkedIn audience and asked them which one to go with, and even though this one didn’t win, I went with it. Workfluencer is how I sprinkle my love for content creation to the world, so I think it’s fitting. What do you think?
